{"id":426,"date":"2008-04-08T07:10:00","date_gmt":"2008-04-08T07:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rbicmsblog.reedbusiness.com\/elogic_660000266\/2008\/04\/08\/well-be-needing-your-smallest-suit-of-armor\/"},"modified":"2008-04-08T07:10:00","modified_gmt":"2008-04-08T07:10:00","slug":"well-be-needing-your-smallest-suit-of-armor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.publishersweekly.com\/blogs\/shelftalker\/?p=426","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;ll Be Needing Your Smallest Suit of Armor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today the world&#8217;s cutest&nbsp;two-and-a-half year-old came into the store with his grandmother, looking for a picture book version of <em>The Sword in the Stone<\/em>.&nbsp;Alas, the&nbsp;only non-Disney&nbsp;edition&nbsp;our manager Deb and I knew of was&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hudsontalbott.com\/sword.stone.html\" rel=\"noopener\">Hudson Talbott<\/a>&#8216;s, which is now sadly&nbsp;out of print. &quot;We tried to get that one at the library,&quot; the grandmother&nbsp;said, &quot;but unfortunately it had been checked out.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>She turned to get the approval of her grandson as she suggested that maybe&nbsp;a different&nbsp;book about knights would do. He agreed, nodding vigorously and adding, &quot;And dragons. Dragons are good too.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Five minutes later the boy and his grandmother are seated at the small table in our children&#8217;s section as she reads to him from our&nbsp;knight and dragon&nbsp;selections and he promptly dismisses a few on the grounds that they are &quot;too little for him.&quot;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.publishersweekly.com\/articles\/blog\/660000266\/20080409\/hushlittledragon.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This in itself was pretty cute, but the comment that earned&nbsp;this little guy&nbsp;the &quot;world&#8217;s cutest two-and-a-half year-old&quot; title came about this way:&nbsp;His grandmother was reading to him the dedication page of <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hnabooks.com\/product\/show\/31103\" rel=\"noopener\">Hush, Little Dragon<\/a><\/em>.
