Hello, ShelfTalker readers! It’s time for a new year of starred reviews. The Stars So Far is a project in which I foolishly decide to gather all of the year’s starred reviews for children’s and YA books from\u00a0Booklist<\/a>,\u00a0The Bulletin of the Center for Children\u2019s Books<\/a>,\u00a0Horn Book<\/a>,\u00a0Kirkus<\/a>,\u00a0Publishers Weekly<\/a>, and\u00a0School Library Journal<\/a>.\u00a0(In the next update, I’ll add 5Q5P titles from\u00a0VOYA<\/a>\u00a0— Voice of Youth Advocates. I didn’t do VOYA last year, and I missed their input, so I’m adding them back in. Hooray!).
\nPlease note: starred reviews are counted only when they have been\u00a0officially printed<\/em>\u00a0by the review magazines, so if your book has an upcoming star, never fear; it will be included in a future update.<\/strong>
\nThis is a detail-laden process, and as careful as I try to be, there will be bobbles here and there.
