There is no logical explanation, Valerie. I’ve earns starred reviews from Kirkus and the Bulletin, made the BBYA list, etc. and have yet to be reviewed in Horn Book. ??????

Elizabeth – thank you, thank you, thank you. Stars are not the be all and end all, but since we can’t read everything, they’re sure nice to have. It’s also nice when the pros agree – Doreen Rappaport’s Beyond Courage (which I have been raving about for months; it came out Tuesday (Candlewick) received 5 stars. Hurray!
