“Crottled Greeps” is a very old fannish invention, dating to the 1940s, I think. It involves chocolate cake dissolved in tomato soup. Then, of course, there’s Damon Knight’s classic story—adopted brilliantly by TV’s “The Twilight Zone—”To Serve Man”.
