Sheila, being the Über talented person she is, had a book trailer made for us. May I present the video for Marketing, Book Trailers and Author Etiquette in a Nutshell.
This has certainly been a year of new experiences for me. I even have an author’s page on Amazon. It all would have tickled my mom. But I really think Sheila should have used me as an actress in the video. Then I could have joined SAG (Screen Actor’s Guild) and got a page on IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base). Hey, a girl’s gotta dream.
ADDED BONUS! Just leave a comment, “I’d like your book” and I’ll pick one winner to receive a free ebook in the format of your choice.
Bottom Line: I’m now working on my follow up book, How to Keep a Clean House While Traveling and Doing a Bunch of Other Stuff. Just kidding…I hate doing housework.

I used to post Sunday Matinee with book trailers when PW was using a different blog site. I had to stop when I couldn’t figure out how to put them on this site, but the issue was finally resolved, so I will again be showing videos on Sundays. If you would like one considered to be on the blog, you can send it to me at bvey@publishersweekly.com
In case you’re wondering what you’ve been missing, I’m posting several book trailers I’ve recently received. Enjoy them and then let us know if watching the video makes you want to buy the book or even read it? Have you seen them being shown anywhere? I actually saw one before a movie at the theater a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. There were a lot of people in the theater exposed to that book video and I’m for anything that gets something to think of reading a book. Brilliant!
