5th Anniversary Bash: Romance Blowout

Barbara Vey -- March 10th, 2012

I can’t believe we’re at the end of the week already.  This party has been incredible and today is no exception.  We’re in Venice for the Romance Blowout!  These incredible authors have gotten together to to give you readers a sendoff to remember.  There’s great prizes and lots of party stuff.  There’s food, entertainment and great atmosphere.

Which one is Sven?

Which one is Sven?

WARNING: Romance Bandits bloggers are INVADING Venice. That’s right – watch for major surprises throughout the day.  (Hint: think “instant win”) They’re walking in now with a giant silver punchbowl of the Goddess Sangria’s secret recipe (a potent, Champagne-laced potion and credited with at least three magical love affairs) and all of the Bandit lair’s swarthy male staff..including the famous Bandita Cabana Boys, the Gladiators, the  Hockey Hunks, and yes….they’re even bringing Sven, who will give his incredible massages to guests until his amazing hands are worn out.  Just remember, what happens at Barbara’s bash STAYS at Barbara’s bash, and the Banditas will hold you to that…after all, they do have their party reputations to consider.  They promise to NOT bring the Golden Rooster…well, not if they can catch him anyway.

Allie Boniface is carrying in beautiful bouquets of Venetian Roses and Anju Gattani is bringing in a designer sari from India’s leading fashion designer (for women), Anita Dongre who designed the wedding trousseau for Sheetal Dhanraj.  Desiree Holt was thinking flowers also with two dozen roses, a case of champagne and scented oils.

To go along with the champagne, Jennifer Haymore stumbled upon the Donovan sister’s secret stash of Antiguan rum, so she’s bringing over a couple cases!  It’s not a party without wine, so good thing Roxanne St. Claire is bringing over a few more bottles.

For food, the ladies of The Ballroom Blog — Katharine Ashe, Sabrina Darby, Tessa Dare, Gaelen Foley, Sarah MacLean and Miranda Neville — will bring their favorite party delights to share, spiked ratafia and lobster patties!  Barbara Monajem has lots of Eccles Cakes.  Casey Crow says, “I’m bringing an empty stomach so I can eat tons of pizza and pasta.”  Well, nobody’s brought any pizza or pasta yet, but the day is young.  Jill Shalvis is bringing gourmet chocolates to make sure our party ends on a sweet note.

Carla Swafford  I’ll bring balloons. For there’s nothing better than dozens upon dozens of floating bright colored balloons to make a party…well, feel like a party!

Sabrina Jeffries   No party is complete without proper entertainment. Sabrina Jeffries will bring her Regency dance moves to kick off the day of revelry.  While Lauren Hunter feels that bringing Josh Groban is definitely a good party move.  Kristine Cayne & Dana Delamar feel Nic “The Lover” Lamoureux will thrill the romance readers.

Josh Groban

Ever logical Joan Swan says, “Dramamine, for those of us who get motion sick but who wouldn’t miss a serenade on a gondola by a sexy Venetian gondolier for a anything.”

Becky Barker wants to know, “So ladies, if you could choose a fantasy hero for your Saturday night date, would it be an all-American guy with blond hair and light eyes? Or a dark-haired, dark-eyed guy who’s just a bit dangerous? No cheating, you have to pick just one.”

Bottom Line:  Best 5th Anniversary Party ever!!

Here’s the rules.  Leave any comment and get an entry to win one of the fabulous prizes.  You can comment more than once for more chances.  Winners will be picked daily and posted on the blog March 12th.  Winners will have one week to claim their prize.

The Community of Books

Barbara Vey -- March 15th, 2011

Well, the party is officially over, the winners announced and the authors are being notified (please be patient, this is a one-woman operation).  But I’m still trying to process what exactly happened here last week.

It was my 4th anniversary party, so I’ve done this 3 times before, but never have I seen happen what went on 24/7 for six straight days.  There are articles all over the place about social networking, promoting, getting your name out there.  But this was a whole different animal.

What we experienced here was like nothing I’d expected.  Nobody did.  It was truly a coming together of a community.  The book community.  The number of readers online was amazing and were absolutely thrilled when an author would join the conversation.  I could talk until I’m blue in the face about how important I think this interaction is, but let me show you some of the comments posted by readers:

I’ve not only managed to find about 100 new authors (when I was ALL out of new authors to read) but I also found some amazing friends. I seriously adore finding people who read the same genre as me! It means I can tell them about new authors and they can do the same for me.. and that is priceless  these parties have been so much fun too!

…my TBR pile has grown leaps and bounds this week!!!

As a non-author, I’m finding it fascinating to see my favorite authors stopping by and enjoying this fun-filled party with me! So cool! And thanks to all the authors and their generous donations of prizes…what a great list of prizes to hope for! If I don’t win, that’s ok, I’m learning about some new reading choices here today!

this was a wonderful week at your anniversary bash! Took away from my daily troubles.

Okay, I have officially clicked on EVERY link this week, bought 12 books, preorder 5 and filled my favorites bar.  My hubby as asking if the party is going on next week, too (as he tries to pry my credit card out of my hands….).

Ok,I thought I had a big “to read” list all ready…but now its huge!! Guess I just have to read more and catch up

Thank you Barbara for giving us a fun activity to do, and for building a stronger online community! What fun I had this week. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Good Night all! I’ll see you on facebook…and this blog!

Thank you so much and if you could please pass this on the the authors who so graciously donated the gift to me, I would appreciate it.  I will be reading their books and those of the other authors that I am now acquainted with because of you.  Beyond her Books is wonderful, you are fabulous.  I will continue to follow your blog and will see you at the party next year….maybe I will take a weeks vacation it was like that any way.

That’s just a few of the over 22,000 comments posted, but they all echo the same theme.  There’s a hunger out there that needs to be satisfied.  These readers are craving new authors and staying loyal to their favorites.

One of the most amazing things, to me, to grow out of this week was the readers getting together to form a Facebook page devoted to Friends from “Beyond Her Book” Party.  This group plans to keep the party going by posting about the authors they met and discovered during the bash and talking about the books they won.  They will keep spreading the word and word of mouth is a very big part of the book world.  This is an open group and everyone is welcome to join.  I encourage authors and readers to get together to share their passion here.

Any final thoughts on the bash?

Bottom Line: A community is a group with shared interests…I have found my community.

4th Anniversary Bash: Contemporary, Historical, Erotica, E-Books, Audio

Barbara Vey -- March 11th, 2011
Party Castle

Party Castle

The mall was a blast, even with Justin Bieber there.  Just a couple of little skirmishes between Team Jacob and Team Edward, but other than that major eating and shopping going on.  The book stores were packed and there were so many happy, smiling people.  Today we venture to Europe to a wonderfully restored castle.  So many cool rooms to explore and the history of the place makes it perfect for the setting in any time period of a book.

Our cup runneth over today with eReader giveaways.  Our honorary guests who have kindly donated them are thrilled that they will be going to readers who really appreciate all they do.  Lori Foster with spring flowers to decorate for the party and lift everyone’s spirits,  The Ruby-Slippered Sisterhood who are bringing Cocktails and Homemade Ruby Slipper Sugar Cookies, Rosemary Harris, Louisa Edwards has made delicious party snacks,  Ellora’s Cave and the team of C.H. Admirand, Tara Nina,  and Anne Elizabeth.  Thank you ladies very much for the bestest, most wanted item ever!

M. J. Rose is going to start everything off with Champagne.  Nothing like a glass of the bubbly. Looks like Leslie Carroll is on the same page with her tiara and enough Cristal champagne for all!  Gwen Roman has crepes to go with her champagne.  But Shari Anton plans to bring several bottles of wine – Seven Deadly Zins (yes, a real wine and rather good).  Kelly Jamieson is carrying in  several bottles of one of her favorite wines, Menage à Trois to share with everyone!  Ann Lethbridge is bringing the rataflia while Tara Scott is a red wine woman.

Birds of Paradise bouquet

Birds of Paradise bouquet

Lisa Hendrix is lugging in a bowl of the very best mead (honey wine) and jewel encrusted cups from which to drink it.  Lynne Raye Harris says, “I’ll bring margaritas served by shirtless, brooding Harlequin Presents billionaires.” (Hopefully without their pregnant Italian mistress’ half-sister.)  Kate Rothwell says, “I brought Birds of paradise bouquet because they are so odd yet pretty. Also this cocktail, drop a sugar cube into a champagne glass, add a few drops of bitters then pour in the champagne You have a Champagne Cocktail I’m not crazy about this drink, but it was all the rage back in the day. You could add a bit of pureed white peach to champagne if you’d rather. Then I’ve given you the traditional fruit and flowers.”

Here’s Elizabeth Amber with Satyrs bearing Roman wine circa the 1880s–enough to heat up any stone-cold castle.  While Kimberly Killion is bringing a “Hawt Scot,” Christina Brook likes hot dukes in boots & buckets of rack punch. Cathy Maxwell says it’s all about, “The Cabana Boys!!!”

Jacquie Rogers has come with five rugged cowhands in chaps to serve hors d’oeuvres to the fair maidens of the castle.  They might look a bit out of place but these men will be accomplished at tipping their Stetsons to the ladies and drawling, “Howdy, ma’am.” (And just as accomplished at roping rattlers and wrestling grizzlies.)  The castle wenches are fighting over the men, but each of the five resists–holding out for their true lady loves.  Hors d’oeuvres include son-of-a-gun stew, sourdough biscuits, and vinegar pie, made special in brand spankin’ new cast iron Dutch ovens.  And they’re also serving homemade beer straight-up from the keg, but have been known to slosh a bit when serving maidens with ample cleavage.

Jade Lee brought ball gowns in a costuming corner but she’ll be wearing pirate clothing for Kit Frazier her pirate hero.  T.C. Archer has “A year’s supply of boob cream for anyone who can guess what omega radiation is.”  (I’m sure it’s something to do with a book, but I’m afraid to ask.)

For entertainment, Blythe Gifford is offering falcons, in case the party wants to indulge in a hunt.  But C.H. Admirand is strolling in with The Garahan brothers–dark-haired, dark-eyed, handsome cowboys from Pleasure, Texas: they will be on hand to help pass around the Mega-Margaritas and long-necked bottles of beer courtesy of the Lucky Star Ladies’ Club. Michelle Styles has taken over the ballroom and brought a chamber orchestra with a bevy of gorgeous hunks to dance with. As they are from a number of time periods, the men are adept at wide variety of dances –from the dances that scandalized the roman Republic to a variety of polkas and waltzes from the Victorian era.  Great minds think alike, so Lynna Banning is bringing dancing guys.

Tara Nina is thinking of other entertainment when she comes in with the gang from the Devilish Delights adult toy store, Shelley-the official product tester-and her tenacious cousin, Emma Jean-the store’s owner and samples of their favorite sex toys. Thinking more historically, Katherine Ashe says, “I will bring to the party a brave and handsome warrior upon a valiant steed. He will be available to any damsel in dire need, preferably in a romantic and dimly lit corner somewhere on the fringe of the festivities.”  Alana Jolie Abbott has an armload of lances for those sexy jousters she hired as entertainment.

Meanwhile, Anne Elizabeth is handing out Tia Stanton’s mighty meteorite hamburgers with all the fixings compliments of VIVANT, the paranormal store that is alive.  Also, in attendance are Witt – King of the Brinn – and his muscular friend Augustine and the wise, dynamic Yorinnce.  These gentlemen will be using their magical powers to make the attendees hover and fly.  Power up!  But for something a little tamer, Keri Ford has brought Apple Tea with basket full of Apple Muffins (and for those looking for a little kick, she has a bit of vanilla vodka, apple juice, cinnamon and cream. We can mix up some Apple Pie cocktails right here!)  Phoebe Conn is back to basics with guacamole and chips.

Robyn Carr came with the Preacher from Jack’s Bar, so he can whip up his favorite recipes for the ladies. Kris Kennedy is offering a tour guide for medieval Ireland. And Jeannie Lin has potstickers (one of her favorite foods in the world).  Susan Meier said, “I’ll bring the dragon.”

Sabrina Jefferies came with the Hellions of Halstead Hall, the notorioius Sharpe clan. Lord Jarret will bring several decks of cards and run a tournament for lords and ladies alike (but watch Jarret! He has quite the reputation for gambling!) He will also bring libations from the family’s brewery.

Fresh Fiction says, “Although a night in a castle sounds romantic, if you’re by yourself or just with the ghosts of loves past, you’ll need a book to curl up with under the down duvet (hey, those castles are notoriously DRAFTY). So Fresh Fiction is bringing a bag of six books to get you through the night. And they smell better than the ointment your sweetheart is using to soothe his muscles after a rough day of “defending the castle.”

To make everything pretty Jennifer Lewis has arrived with armfuls of tropical flowers to decorate the castle, a fountain flowing with killer rum cocktails and some coconut munchies.  Fiona Lowe has sunshine, golden sand, beach towels and pavlova for a virtual beach in a corner of the castle.  “I’m bringing several baskets of figs some rose-water cakes, and several golden thrones for us to sit upon,” says Stephanie Dray.  For that romantic mood, Diane Gaston has candles, in a beautiful silver candleabara, because a castle can’t have too many candles.

Always practical, Debbie Macomber is bringing camera, color printer and scrapbooking materials so everyone can preserve memories of the day–and the friendships they make in the castle!

Bottom Line: I’d watch out for Debbie Macomber and her camera…never know what may end up on Facebook.

Here’s the rules.  Leave any comment and get an entry to win one of the fabulous prizes.  You can comment more than once for more chances.  Winners will be picked daily and posted on the blog March 14th.  Winners will have until March 20th to claim their prize or forfeit it.

4th Anniversary Bash: Inspirational, YA, Nonfiction

Barbara Vey -- March 10th, 2011
Party Mall

Party Mall

The island was a blast yesterday and today we are at the mall with the young adult, inspirational and nonfiction authors.  How cool is htis?  Everything we could possibly need is here.  It’s open only for our party, so feel free to explore everywhere.  There’s also several bookstores so you can shop for your favorite authors along with all the new ones you have discovered this week.   The possibilities are endless.

Our two honorary guests today have offered a Nook and a Kindle.  How cool is that?  Virna DePaul says, “I’ll bring my aunt’s special layered chiffon cake with caramel flan!”  Ah, Virna, if you remember how many have been coming daily, you’d better bring more than one.  This group can eat.  Renee Ryan told me, “Cinnabons.  ;-) ”  You’re right Renee, the first thing you smell when you enter the mall is the Cinnabons.  Thanks to you both for your eReader donations, I know a lot of people who would really enjoy them.

Saundra Mitchell reminds us, “We may be meeting in a mall, but this is supposed to be a party. That’s why I’ll be down in the food court pushing the tables against the walls so we have somewhere to dance. The band is on their way, and we have the most eclectic refreshment table imaginable, catered by fine dining establishments such as Auntie Anne’s and Sbarro. Dance cards are optional (though recommended!)”  Janet Tronstad said, “Godiva chocolates (there’s always a candy store in a mall.”Trinity Faegen says, “I’m bringing money for the Food Court . Pizza’s on me!”  Margaret Daley is offering Balloons and Ice Cream Sundaes.

Even more food on the way with Lyn Cote bringing individual cheesecakes and Hope White coming in with chocolate cupcakes.  Lenora Worth is thinking a little outside the box with crawfish and bread pudding (I live in Louisiana).  Chocolate and raspberry layer cake is on the way from Marley Gibson and Barbara Monajem has Mrs. Beaton’s Plum Cake.  LaShaunda Hoffmann i bringing in a tray of Gooey Butter Cookies.  Renee Andrews suggests, “GNC Peaches and Scream Smoothies for everyone while we shop!”  And C.C. Hunter thinks, “Some homemade Chocolate Chip  cookies–warm from the oven.”

Emma Miller is, “Bringing a basket of fresh eggs, Mam’s hot biscuits, and a crock of wild clover

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber

honey from our bees.”  Now that sounds wonderful, but I don’t think Emma gets to the mall very often.

As for entertainment, Amanda Brice said, “Dani Spevak and her partner, Hollywood superstar Nick Galliano, will be teaching a cha-cha lesson in the corner in about 15 minutes if anyone wants to join in.”

Now I personally just heard that Justin Bieber will be here for the YA group.  He’s cute, but I’m not sure I can do 24 hours of him.   On top of that the Twilight Group just arrived and they are already splitting off into team Jacob and team Edward.  We need Bella to get her butt over here and break this up.  Waiting for Joysann to bring in the adult entertainment.  Where is she?  Well, Linda Goodnight promises, “Bringing along a strong hero (good-looking, of course) to carry all those bags and packages–just in case we need some muscle and a bodyguard.”

Team Edward

Team Edward

Dorothy Clark considerately is supplying, “A pair of insoles for a shopper’s weary feet.”  And Valerie Hansen says, “I’ll bring myself to the party, ready to shop! I love malls.”  Janette Rallison says, “I’ll bring little mirrors as party favors, because hey, you’ve got to look your best at the mall.” Terri Reed said, “I’ll bring 10 mylar balloons and a rainbow of streamers.”

Mary Buckham has just commandeered  a magnifying glass Sedgeway liberated from a mall cop.  Get the bail money ready.  Leanna Renee Hieber is offering a haunted painting of a strikingly beautiful British lord to hang in the shopping plaza. If you stare hard enough, you might see him move.

Good-hearted Debbie Kaufman is offering BOGOF coupon on shoes and I’m sure those will go fast.

Team Jacob

Team Jacob

Allie Pleiter says, “Since we’re in a mall, I’ll bring the gift cards to the coffee bar.  If there’s a yarn store in the mall, too, (or knowing me even if there isn’t…) I’ll offer to teach everyone how to knit!”  (Not me…even Debbie Macomber couldn’t teach me and she really tried.)

Alix Rickloff brought a case of Writers Tears Irish whiskey. “I only brought a bottle last year and it was swiped by some fat guy masquerading as the Prince Regent.”  Charlotte Carter thinks we’ll all need, “an on-the-spot foot massage at the mall.”  I’m first.

Carla Capshaw will be everyone’s friend as she hands out, “Gift cards to the book store.”  And isn’t that what we’d all love?

Bottom Line: I already feel years younger hanging with all these YA readers…and their moms too.

Here’s the rules.  Leave any comment and get an entry to win one of the fabulous prizes.  You can comment more than once for more chances.  Winners will be picked daily and posted on the blog March 14th.  Winners will have one week to claim their prize.

4th Anniversary Bash: Thriller, Mystery, Suspense, Adventure

Barbara Vey -- March 8th, 2011

Whew!  I’m exhausted from yesterday.  Can you believe there were 2,090 comments!  I do because readers and writers are the ultimate party animals.  There are 5, count ‘em, 5 eReaders to be given away today.  But now I’m ready to push on because the party today is at a crime scene.  These authors take their subjects seriously.  And we’ve got some superstars here today that have offered up e-readers as prizes.

Our Guest of Honors today, who offered up the e-readers, like their beverages.  The ladies at the Killer Fiction blog are coming with Killer Kosmos while Shiloh Walker is lugging in a vat of Bloody Marys (I think I had my fill yesterday, but Joanna Slan and Kat Martin are enjoying them again today).    Nancy Naigle ran up and told me, “I bumped into Richard Castle when I was picking up Krispy Kreme doughnuts to bring to the scene, so I’m bringing him along. He’s great at solving murders, and not so bad to look at it either.  I wonder what’s under that Kevlar jacket he wears with WRITER on the back?”  I think we’d all like to know that Nancy.

Richard Castle didn't answer my Twitter request for his book

Richard Castle didn't answer my Twitter request for his book

“I’ve brought some suspects and murder weapons from the game CLUE. Miss Scarlett is eyeing Castle, and it looks like there might be a revolver in her purse. Professor Plum is surveying the scene, but his pocket watch is dangling from a rope, not a chain. And Mrs. Peacock has either just left an antiques store, or she’s up to no good with that silver candlestick. Hmmm. Whodunit?” wonders Tracy March.  Grace Greene says, “Well, since Nancy forgot the Krispy Kremes when she ran into Mr. Castle, I grabbed fresh ones on my way, plus some tea for the cozies and blood-red wine for the thrillers. Should I mention the body I tripped over on the way? Maybe Tracy’s Clues can help us figure out what happened?”

The food had started to arrive now.  Terry Odell is carrying in a Death by Chocolate cake, baked

Brenda Novak's Rocky Road

Brenda Novak's Rocky Road

and served by Graham Harrigan.   “Kettle Corn, my favorite snack,” said Pamela Samuels Young.  Brenda Novak wants everyone to know shes got a fabulous 5 minute-rocky-road-fudge (if that’s appropriate for a crime scene <G>…recipe available if you’d like).  Kay Thomas is headed over to the bar with the frozen margaritas….with Chips and Salsa…I am so there.   Anita Clenney has brought brownies and I’m thrilled because I have a craving for chocolate about now.

The Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas

For entertainment Joanna Slan said  “I will lead the readers in a zumba dance. We will keep on all our clothes, but we’ll also let our sexy out.”  But Candace Havens says, “I’d like to bring a Black-eyed Peas party mix. That music will get you jumping! “  Tara Taylor Quinn just keeps yelling, “I’d like to bring the wine!…I’d like to bring the wine!”  Sounds good to me Tara.

Decorations look to be slim with Rosemary Harris saying, “I’ll bring all the funeral wreaths….I mean floral arrangements ..unless you think I should pick something more fun.”

I invited Seeley Booth to help solve the crime...just because.

I invited Seeley Booth to help solve the crime...just because.

Since it’s at a crime scene, Mary Buckham is bringing a packet of red herrings and a magnifying glass, Pamela Callow said, “my cell phone to call homicide detective Ethan Drake.”  Julie Miller wants, “My SWAT cops to set up a perimeter to keep everyone safe while we’re having fun!”  And J. L. Saint came in with Hunky military-type guy with big guns and  a to die for recipe.  Anita Clenney is bringing Faelan Connor, secret warrior to the murder scene, in case the perp turns out to be a demon in disguise. Faelan’s excellent at spotting those demons and can use his sword, talisman, or time vault to dispatch them back to hell.

Hank Phillippi Ryan has a different thought on what to do, “Costumes!  It’s not a party if you don’t dress up in glitter and glam—so I’m bringing tiaras and stilettos for all.”   Thanks Hank, but I’ll be the one in jammies and the bunny slippers.

Bottom Line: No worries, the dead body was removed before the party started…just the chalk mark remained.

Rest Up for Monday

Barbara Vey -- March 4th, 2011

Rest up this weekend because Monday starts one heck of a week here at Beyond Her Book.  Yes, it’s time again for the 4th annual Anniversary Bash.  For those of you who have attended in the past, you can help me explain what to expect.

The Anniversary Bash is an online “virtual” party.  What that means is that we party 24/7 from Monday through Saturday and you do it from the comfort of your home or office or where ever you have computer access. We’ll be celebrating different genres every day…something for everyone and a chance to discover new ones.

Over 200 authors, publishers and publicists have kindly donated “virtual” (that means pretend) food, drink, decorations and entertainment for your enjoyment all week.  We’ll be meeting up in different locations everyday so you really have to be sure to stop by often so you don’t miss anything.

Through the extreme generosity of many in the publishing industry, we will be giving away 17 e-readers (Kindles and Nooks) throughout the week.  In addition, there will be books, t-shirts, mugs, gift cards and other wonderful merchandise.  And the good news is that there will be hundreds of winners.

All you have to do, kind readers, is stop by and leave a comment.  There will be lots of conversations going on, so just join in like any other party you’ve ever been to.  Every comment counts as an entry and winners will be picked everyday and announced on Monday, March 14th.  You will have one week to claim your prize or you lose it.  And you don’t want to miss any of these.

Here’s the daily schedule, but e-readers will be given away daily, so get your comments in every day:

Monday, March 7th - Paranormal, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Urban Fantasy (Takes place in haunted house)
Tuesday March 8thThriller, Mystery, Suspense, Adventure (Takes place at a murder scene)

Wednesday March 9thPublishers, Editors, Bloggers, Librarians (takes place on an island)

Thursday March 10thInspirational, YA, Nonfiction (takes place at a shopping mall)

Friday March 11thContemporary/Historical/Erotica/E-Books/Audio (takes place at a castle)

Saturday March 12thRomance Blowout (takes place at Niagara Falls)

The party officially starts at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, CST, so everyone in the world is invited and goes nonstop until midnight Saturday night.  After that, commenters will not be eligible for prizes, but you can still post.  Every time you leave a comment it counts as one entry, so feel free to talk up a storm, there will be many new friends to make and a wonderful opportunity for readers and authors to get together and have a great time.

I’m so excited I can’t stand it.  I’ll be dropping flyers off at libraries today and I hope you all help me get the word out.  We’ll be talking about it on Twitter (#BHBbash will be our party room) and Facebook.  Now it’s your turn to get the word out to all your fans and friends who won’t want to miss the bash of year (and they’ll thank you forever if they win one of the e-readers or other marvelous prizes).

Bottom Line: The traditional 4th anniversary gift is fruit and flowers…I will “virtually” accept all kinds.

As you can see from the schedule, it’s going to be a rocking week.  True to form, authors, publishers and publicists have come out and offered up some great prizes including 13 (count ‘em…13) e-readers, books, gift certificates and other wonderful items to random commenters.  That’s right, all you have to do is leave a comment on the blog and you are entered.  You can comment as much or little as you’d like.  Winners will be picked by an outside source and posted on March 14th.

Anyone interested in donating “virtual” party food, drinks, entertainment, decorations or would like to do a give away, please email me at barbaravey@ymail.com  You do not have to give a prize to be part of the party.

As a side note, I’d like to thank author Beth Williamson for taking time out from her travels through Milwaukee to meet me for coffee (at 6 a.m. before her flight home).  Beth writes about cowboys and I’m looking forward to checking them out.
