Happy Father’s Day to all you father’s out there. Father’s come in many sizes and shapes. They go by many names, Dad, Father, Pa, Pops, Daddy and I’m sure a lot more nicknames.
I grew up calling my father Daddy, which changed to Dad in my teen years. But, he will always be Daddy to me. He embarrassed me by walking around in his boxers, telling the same old corny jokes over and over again, and always called my mom Toots.
Every Christmas and birthday I bought him Old Spice. Once I really got wild and bought him soap on a rope. As I got older, I would take him out to dinner instead of gifts. He’s been gone over 20 years now, but every time I smell Old Spice I think of him.
So, here’s to all the Dad’s out there today. May your day be filled with happy memories for years to come.
Any special memories you’d like to share about your dad?

Playing cribbage, baseball on the radio, a shot & a beer, dancing with my Mom, eating at Ponderosa, QC1711, sitting on his boots when he walked around the house, Elvis movies, “he’s got whole world in his hand”, horse races, combing his hair, his famous fried chicken & his endless Vegas stories .My Dad wasn’t perfect but he was my Dad & I loved him & I miss him. Happy Fathers Day Dad

I have so many memories of my father as I was growing up, but the one that sticks in my mind the most was on my wedding day. I’d already been married before, and had done too many stupid things over the years, but I never doubted my dad’s love. But on my wedding day, as I was waiting in the back room for it to be time to walk down the aisle, he came into the room and looked me up and down and told me how proud he was of me. It was just such a heartfelt moment, I can’t imagine ever forgetting that.
