Today will be a super fun day. We’re at an amusement park. The sky’s the limit here. We can all be kids and eat and drink all we want. And the rides are amazing. They should keep everyone entertained the entire day and night.
Now, I’ll tell you the truth, when I think of an amusement park, I think of rides. Rollercoasters, tilt-a-whirl, Bubble Bounce (the only time I ever saw my dad throw up), carousel, bumper cars and fun houses. I can’t do them like I once did, but there was a time I would be at the park from opening till close. So, when I told the authors we were spending the day at an amusement park and asked what they wanted to bring, the majority said food. I love this group.
Cotton candy will be supplied by C.C. Hunter and Jean C. Gordon. Funnels cakes are compliments of Lynette Easton and Karen Kirst who has lots of powdered sugar on hers. Debby Giusti says, “I’ll host a concession stand that gives away funnel cakes and corn dogs…good Southern fare!” Elizabeth Goddard brought a bag of popcorn. I don’t think one bag of popcorn is going too far with this group, but Winnie Griggs has caramel popcorn and that should be a hit. I saw Sandra Orchard carrying a giant chocolate cake with sparklers, lots of sparklers so we can wave them around and light up cyberspace!
Cornell DeVille just came in with something Cajun, like steamed shrimp or shrimp cocktails. That works for me. Debra Clopton told me Matchmaking Posse member Adela Ledbetter’s special Lemonade used at all the Mule Hollow festivals will be offered. I’ll need some after the Cajun shrimp. Double chocolate brownies are compliments of Jessica Nelson. Lynette Sowell is handing out Texas barbecue sliders. There’s a stand over there with Missy Tippens giving out boiled peanuts from Georgia.
Ruth Logan Herne says, “I’m bringing some of my famous chocolate chip cookies, to die for. Really.” Manning the Coney Island Hotdog Stand at the Amusement Park is Tina Radcliffe. Jennifer Delamere is bringing cookies for us to snack on while waiting in line for rides– they’re her mom’s secret white chocolate macadamia recipe!
Now I like this, Trinity Faegen says “Since we’re at an amusement park, I’m bringing lots of cash to buy tasty treats! I’m also bringing a handsome butler named Jasper to carry our things around and hold a giant umbrella over us when we get too hot.” Nothing like cold hard cash. Abingdon Press is giving out balloons. Ok, now I’m thinking about the movie “Up!”
Susan Sleeman is thinking about the rides since she’s bringing my best scream for the roller coaster. She tells me, “After all, I’ve heard my share of them as I write romantic suspense and mystery books. Plus for those who don’t ride roller coasters, I’m bringing cotton candy to snack on as you watch us loop and wind our way to queasy stomachs.” More cotton candy.
Carrie Turansky and Deborah Malone want to protect our beautiful skin by supplying lots of sunscreen.
.
Leanna Renee Hieber has brought an endless supply of Earl Grey Tea along with a painting to hang inside the Funhouse / House of Horror (watch out for the demons). But she’s brought no ordinary portrait, ladies and gentlemen. This is, in fact, the very haunted painting of Lord Denbury, and his soul is trapped inside. Careful, if you get to close, you’ll fall into his alternate, cursed world. But you might not mind, he’s VERY handsome. Regardless, Leanna will hand you cups of nice hot tea to warm the chill in your soul.
Mari Mancusi arrived with black roses for decorations and wax fangs for those who want to embrace their inner vampire! And Melinda Evaul brought a Carpenter’s Wheel quilt for a shade tree picnic. For fun Tawny Stokes has provided the dunk tank and the dunkee…she’s thinking Robert Pattinson would love to be in his swim trunks and dunked into freezing cold water by all you lovelies. Free to play!!!

Miranda Kenneally says, “I will bring a giant cake and George Clooney will jump out of it.”

Phyllis Johnson and Nancy Naigle aka Johnson Naigle: I’m bringing special Barbara Vey “First-In-Line” passes for our friends. I have 50 of them! Call dibsys! These will let you get to the front of the line on any ride or into a performance! But just one…so choose wisely.
Bottom Line: I think I need an antacid after all the junk food I ate today.

Hey girls, is that the renegade vampire motorcycle gang Bad Blood over by the cotton candy booth? How the did they follow us from Transylvania?
Heck we can’t get rid of Raphael, so I’m not surprised they showed up too!
he must of told them
With his big mouth. Very likely!
I hope Barbara transports us before they see us. They’re nothing but trouble. And I mean that in the worse way.
Just a few more minutes…

Sounds like a lot of fun!
I’m looking at the George Clooney picture again and it reminds me of my teacher; she’s such a big fan of his. If he ever jumped out of a cake for her, I just know she’d be super happy.
I just have to say that I love the picture of George Clooney. It’s so silly and cute. I love that he doesn’t take himself so seriously all the time. It doesn’t hurt that he has truly aged like a fine wine. I have grown older right along with him.
you guys must be having fun at the amusement park–if I win anything I would love to win a love inspired prize. Thanks
