I really must beg to differ. The worst book ever is “Star Trek: How Much for Just the Planet?” by John M. Ford (http://www.amazon.com/Much-Just-Planet-Star-Trek/dp/0671038591). This book is just so wrong on so many different levels it would take a dissertation to fully explore them all.

“I don’t know, Scotty,” said Captain James T. Kirk, with an offhand gesture toward the secret documents. “Maybe it’s just the idea of an inflatable rubber starship that bothers me.” Planet inhabitants occasionally break into song to explain their narratives…

Love the “Worst Book Ever” writeups, but honestly, why so “baffled” and “confounded” by the “enigma” that is this book? Why rely on long quotes from satirical Amazon reviews? Why not actually acquire a copy of “What Are These Strawberries…” and describe what’s in it — and maybe even take a hi-res photo of the cover rather than borrow someone’s JPG? Advanced Book Exchange has three copies available from different sellers for under $8 including shipping from the U.K.
