Actress Kara Hayward — the daughter of Bill Murray and Frances McDormand and star of Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom — will narrate the audio edition of ghostgirl author Tonya Hurley’s The Blessed. The audiobook will be published on September 25 by Simon & Schuster Audio and available as an unabridged digital download.
“I couldn’t be happier to narrate The Blessed,” Hayward said in a statement. “I’m really enjoying all the new experiences I’m having as a young actress and recording this audiobook has been a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the next audiobook in the series. I love this story and the world that Tonya has created.”
The Blessed is the first installment in Hurley’s latest trilogy, and follows the lives of Agnes, Cecilia, and Lucy, three lost girls battling personal demons who become entangled with an enigmatic boy who believes he is a saint.
“I was absolutely thrilled when I learned Kara was going to be narrating The Blessed audiobook,” Hurley said in a statement. “I can’t think of a better young actress to take this story on. Kara is incredibly talented and I know fans are going to love her performance.”
