Audiobooks, Olympics, and AT&T

Adam Boretz -- August 6th, 2012

If you haven’t been watching the Olympics, you may have missed this great AT&T commercial that features — brace yourself for it! –  marathon runner Ryan Hall listening to audiobooks during a training session.

I’m not sure if this is the first time audiobooks have been featured in a major television advertisement — one that references the audio editions of both The Odyssey and Moby Dick, no less — but I can’t think of any other instances.

Anyone out there remember any other TV commercials featuring audiobooks?

is the audiobook narrator an acutal audiobook reader or was it just for the commercial. Name of said reader?
