moving-dayAs of next week, Listen Up will be folding into Publishers Weekly’s official blog, PWxyz, in an effort to mainstream content and increase overall blog traffic.

“But what about all my audiobook news needs?” you ask. Fear not, audio enthusiasts.

We’ll still have you covered — with Q&As, news, reviews, contests, bestseller info, and a whole lot more. It’ll just be in a different place — and, because of the new location, our posts will be read by a much wider audience.

So, if you’re an audiobook fan, check us out at PWxyz.  And If you’re an audio publisher, feel free to pitch me stories as per usual.

Audio Bestsellers: Through 3/10/13

Another week, another new #1. This week it’s Clive Cussler and Justin Scott’s The Striker: An Isaac Bell Adventure (narrated by Scott Brick for Penguin Audio) grabbing the top spot on PW’s audio bestseller list.

Coming in at #2 is James Patterson’s Alex Cross, Run, which is narrated by Michael Boatman and Steven Boyer for Hachette Audio. At #3 is Heart of Texas, Volume 1: Lonesome Cowboy and Texas Two-Step (Brilliance Audio) written by Debbie Macomber and narrated by Natalie Ross.

J.D. Robb’s Calculated in Death (narrated by Susan Ericksen for Brilliance Audio) takes the #4 spot and dropping all the way down to #5 is Bill O’Reilly’s Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot (Macmillan Audio).

HarperAudio to Release Armistead Maupin Collection

This month, our pals over at HarperAudio are releasing six brand new audio editions — available for the first time unabridged — of books by Armistead Maupin.

The titles — which feature some amazing actors — coming out on March 26 are:

Tales of the City, read by Frances McDormand
More Tales of the City, read by Cynthia Nixon
Further Tales of the City, read by Frances McDormand
Babycakes, read by Alan Cumming
Sure of You, read by Eric McCormack
Significant Others, read by Cynthia Nixon

When asked about the project, Cumming said:

Robb’s Calculated in Death (narrated by Susan Ericksen for Brilliance Audio) coming in at #2.

Taking the #3 spot is Heart of Texas, Volume 1: Lonesome Cowboy and Texas Two-Step (Brilliance Audio) written by Debbie Macomber and narrated by Natalie Ross.
